Xuemei Zhang is an experienced melon breeder with over two decades of expertise in plant breeding. From August 1999 to December 2012, Xuemei Zhang worked at Hollar Seeds as a melon breeder before joining United Genetics Seeds Co. in December 2012, continuing in the same role. Xuemei Zhang holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Crop Science from the University of Kentucky, obtained between 1996 and 1999, and a Master's degree in Horticultural Science from Northeast Agricultural University, earned from 1984 to 1987.
