Jessica Merhej

Jessica Merhej currently serves as the Manager of Participant Engagement for the Middle East and Africa at the United Nations Global Compact, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Jessica worked as a Sustainability Solutions Specialist at Averda from February 2023 to June 2024, where responsibilities included integrating sustainable solutions and providing technical support for carbon and waste mitigation. Jessica's earlier experience includes roles as an Environmental Engineer at Averda, focusing on waste management strategies, a Germ Control Consultant at Rentokil Boecker, and a Client Service Officer overseeing sustainability programs. Jessica began a career in environmental health as a Food Safety Consultant Intern at Boecker. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut and a French Baccalaureate in Science from Lycée Français Louis-Massignon in Abu Dhabi.
