Adama Konate

Chief Investigator at United Nations Human Rights

Adama Konate is a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since November 2017, responsible for monitoring, reporting, and investigation. Adama has supported the implementation of the 2019 Country agreement between OHCHR and the Government of Sudan and has coordinated the protection of victims and witnesses and human rights defenders in South Kivu, Maniema, and Tanganyika. Previous roles include Women Protection Adviser at the United Nations, Deputy Projects Manager at SOS Children's Villages International, and Social Cohesion and Community Development Expert at the World Bank. Adama has a Master's degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Université Félix Houphouet Boigny d'Abidjan, obtained in 2010.
