Douglas MacHongoni

Douglas Machongoni possesses extensive experience in strategic planning, human rights, and political analysis. Currently serving as a Strategic Planning Specialist and Political Scientist with the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service since October 2013, Douglas also fulfills the role of Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights. Previous positions include Researcher at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and Political Affairs Officer at Political Research Associates until July 2023. Douglas holds a Master's degree in Defence and Security from Zimbabwe National Defence University and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Political Science from the University of Zimbabwe, highlighting a robust academic foundation in political science, government, and national security policy studies.
