Isabelle Heyer Frigo

Human Rights Officer at United Nations Human Rights

Isabelle Heyer Frigo is a seasoned professional in human rights, currently serving as a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since October 2019. Prior to this role, Isabelle held various positions at the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT), including Research and Advocacy Adviser and Americas Programme Officer from July 2011 to June 2019. Isabelle also represented the Comisión Colombiana de Juristas at the United Nations from September 2007 to December 2009 and worked as a Programme Officer for the International Commission of Jurists from September 2003 to September 2007. Earlier in their career, Isabelle was a Researcher at the International Centre for Migration, Health and Development in early 2003 and interned at APT in 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Human Rights Law and Criminal Justice from Utrecht University and a Master's degree in Contemporary History from the University of Geneva.
