Pamela López-Ruiz Montes is a seasoned Human Rights Officer with extensive experience in international human rights law and investigations. Currently, Pamela serves as an Investigator for the UN Fact-Finding Mission on Venezuela at the United Nations Human Rights office since November 2021. Prior roles include positions with the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) as a Human Rights Officer and Team Leader from February 2018 to February 2020, and a Human Rights Officer and Investigator from November 2013 to June 2017. Pamela's background includes coordination for the International Affairs Unit at the Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos and internships with the International Criminal Court and UNHCR. Academically, Pamela holds multiple advanced degrees in law and human rights from prestigious institutions, including the Université d'Évry and Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II).
