Sochenda Samreth

Director, Curriculum & Instruction at United Nations International School

Sochenda joined UNIS in 2009 as a Science Teacher and has served the school in diverse capacities. Most recently, she led the transition to digital-age instruction and the latest MESH curriculum review initiative. In her current role, Sochenda focuses on the development and implementation of the UNIS PK-12 curriculum and faculty professional development.

In addition to a Master’s of Neuroscience from the University of Lyon, Sochenda holds a Principal’s Training Certificate of International School Leadership and is certified as a Concept-based Curriculum and Instruction Trainer.

Prior to UNIS, Sochenda served as a lecturer at the China Foreign Affairs University in Beijing, taught Biology, Physics and Chemistry in diverse International Schools and co-founded the New York French-American Charter School. At UNIS, she continues to explore cross-cultural and multilingual education, an area that has been the focus of her professional journey. Sochenda is a proud parent of a UNIS student.
