Dorothy Du is an experienced professional with a diverse background in public safety and management. Currently serving as Quality Manager and Regional Area Coordinator at the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) since July 2020, Dorothy oversees the operational management of the Regional UNMAS office, supervising a team while coordinating with military and civilian leadership to address explosive threats. Prior to this role, Dorothy held various positions within UNMAS, including Quality Assurance Specialist and Planning Officer, and accumulated 23 years of active service with the Philippine National Police, attaining the rank of Police Colonel. In addition to operational expertise, Dorothy served as a Police Adviser during a secondment to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia, assisting in strategic planning for the Federal State Police. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration in Development and Security from the Development Academy of the Philippines, as well as multiple master's degrees in Government Management and a bachelor's degree in Public Safety.
