Toni-Anne Vinell Stewart

Toni-Anne Vinell Stewart is an experienced humanitarian affairs officer specializing in gender issues, currently working with the United Nations OCHA since September 2019, where roles include Gender Specialist and various surge missions in response to crises in Turkiye, Ukraine, and Ethiopia. Prior to this, Toni-Anne contributed to gender-based violence initiatives with UNRWA, directed protection projects for Première Urgence Internationale, and served in roles with Open Society Foundations and the Women's Rehabilitation Organization, managing programs aimed at supporting women and children in conflict settings. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies from the University of London and another Master's in Women's History from Sarah Lawrence College. Additional studies at the University of Havana further reflect a commitment to social sciences.
