Erzsebet (Hugi) Varga has extensive work experience in various organizations. Erzsebet (Hugi) started their career in 2003 at the International Monetary Fund, where they worked as an HR professional until 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they served as a Manager/Human Capital at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In 2010, Erzsebet joined the United Nations as a Human Resources Officer and worked there until 2012. Erzsebet (Hugi) then transitioned to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2019, where they worked as a Unit Head in the HR Service Centre until November 2019.
Erzsebet then worked for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) from 2014 to 2019, holding positions such as Human Resources Officer and ERP Functional Expert in HR. In 2016, they briefly worked at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as a Human Resources Officer.
Since 2019, Erzsebet has been associated with the United Nations Office at Nairobi. Erzsebet (Hugi) took on the roles of Chief, Talent Management Center and then Chief, Staff Pay and Benefits.
Throughout their career, Erzsebet has gained extensive expertise in HR and served in various capacities, contributing to the success of the organizations they have worked for.
Erzsebet (Hugi) Varga started their education in 1994 at Pattonville Senior High School. Erzsebet (Hugi) then attended Cottey College from 1995 to 1997, where they obtained an A.A. and A.S. degree. From 1998 to 2000, Erzsebet studied at Randolph College and earned their B.A. degree in International Studies and Economics. Later, in 2006 and 2007, they pursued an MBA at The George Washington University School of Business.
