Liwaaddine Fliss is a seasoned professional in programme management and policy development, currently serving as a Programme Management Officer at the United Nations since February 2018, within the Office of the Special Adviser for Africa. Previously, Fliss held key positions at the African Union, including Acting Head of Division for Private Sector, Investment, and Resource Mobilization from June 2016 to February 2018, and Senior Policy Officer for Private Sector Development from September 2006 to June 2016. In these roles, Fliss successfully coordinated the development of significant strategic initiatives, including the AU Private Sector Development Strategic Plan and the African Investment Promotion Agencies Network, as well as facilitating numerous international forums. Early career experience includes Census Supervisor at the National Institute of Statistics of Tunisia. Fliss holds a Master's degree in Economie et politiques internationales from Université Pierre Mendès-France and a Maitrise in Economics, Finance, and Banking from École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales de Tunis.
