Thomas Pogreba

Thomas Pogreba has over 19 years of work experience in finance and management roles. Thomas currently serves as the Director of Finance at UNFI since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Contractor at Baker Tilly Search & Staffing, where they managed a team in corporate accounting. Thomas also held the position of Vice President of Shared Services at Elior North America from 2016 to 2018 and was the Director of Shared Services at Ovation Brands from 2013 to 2015. Thomas has extensive experience at SuperValu Inc, where they held various roles such as Director of Indirect Sourcing & Business Process Outsourcing and Project Manager in Shared Services. Thomas successfully managed the transition of over 300 positions to a third-party offshore environment and implemented cost-saving initiatives. Thomas has a strong background in managing teams, overseeing period/year-end close processes, and leading significant project work.

Thomas Pogreba has a strong educational background in both information technology and accounting/finance. Thomas obtained a Masters of Software Systems degree in Information Technology from the University of St. Thomas, where they studied from 1999 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and a minor in Management from Saint John's University, studying there from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Thomas Pogreba has also obtained certification in BeyondTheBlack 2020 from BlackLine, as well as an inactive CPA certificate from the State of Minnesota Board of Accountancy in 1994.
