Vira-Anong C Phutrakul

Vira-anong C Phutrakul has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry. Vira-anong C currently holds the position of Managing Director, Head of Retail and Brand at UOB, where they oversee the retail business in Thailand, focusing on strategy, transformation, and brand. Prior to this, they held various roles at Citi, including Managing Director, Head of Consumer Business, Managing Director, Retail Banking & Branch Distribution Head, Managing Director, Consumer Lending Head, and Managing Director, Global Transaction Services Head and Commercial Banking Head. In these positions, they were responsible for managing consumer banking, transactional banking products, securities services, and global custody for Asia-based customers. Vira-anong C also served as the Securities Country Manager for Hong Kong, China, and Thailand. Vira-anong has also been actively involved in the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM Thailand) and served as Director on the Board of Directors for the AMCHAM Thailand Foundation and as Vice President on the Board of Governors for AMCHAM Thailand.

Vira-anong C Phutrakul holds an MBA in Finance, Accounting, and International Management from Boston College Carroll School of Management, which was obtained from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Accounting from Scripps College, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. In addition to their degrees, Vira-anong C Phutrakul has also obtained a certification in Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, with the year of completion unspecified.
