Jerome L.

Jerome L. began their work experience in 2010 with the United States Air Force, where they served as an Alternate Information System Security Manager until 2018. In 2018, they joined Leidos as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer for the Army Reserve HQ, until January 2019. From December 2018 to June 2021, Jerome worked at the U.S. Coast Guard as the Event Detection/Incident Response Branch Chief. Currently, they are employed at U.S. Cyber Command as the Defensive Cyber Operations Lead for the Cyber National Mission Force.

Jerome L. has a diverse education history in the field of Information Technology. Jerome began their academic journey at the Community College of the Air Force, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Information System Technology from 2010 to 2012. Jerome then pursued further education at East Carolina University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sports and Exercise from 2002 to 2007.

To enhance their knowledge and skills in IT, Jerome pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from American Military University from 2013 to 2016. Jerome later expanded their expertise by pursuing two M.S. Graduate Certificates, one in Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the other in Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), both from the College of Information and Cyberspace at the National Defense University. Jerome is expected to complete these certificates in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

In addition to their formal education, Jerome has obtained several certifications related to their field. These include the DoD Digital Forensic Examiner and DoD Digital Media Collector certifications from the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) in 2021 and 2019, respectively. Jerome also holds the Security+ certification from CompTIA, obtained in 2010. Furthermore, they have acquired the CAP, CEH, and CISSP certifications from (ISC)² in 2018, and the Certification for Contracting Officer's Representatives Level III (FAC-COR) certification from the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) in 2019.
