John A. Miller has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. John A. is currently working as the Chief Enterprise Architect (ENTARCH) J6 at U.S. Cyber Command since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer CIO/G6 at US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) from April 2020 to October 2022. John A. also held the position of Chief, Operations Division CIO/G6 at US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) from June 2018 to April 2020.

Before joining U.S. Army CECOM, John worked at U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command as the Chief of the Network Infrastructure Division, Mid-Atlantic Region Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) from October 2015 to June 2018.

John A.'sprevious experience also includes working at DISA, where they held the position of Telecommunications Manager, Implementation and Sustainment from January 2013 to October 2015 and Program Analysis, Network Services from July 2010 to January 2013.

John's career began in the Air National Guard as Ground Radio Communications from May 2004 to September 2013. John A. also worked at DYNIS as the Director of Optical Network Operations from October 2008 to July 2010.

Prior to this, they held various roles at Verizon, including Sr Network Architect from January 2005 to October 2008, Network Engineer-IOF Engineering from August 1998 to January 2005, and System Technician- Special Services from August 1994 to August 1998.

John's early career includes working in the Army National Guard as Operations Chief - Telecommunications from February 1993 to May 2004 and in the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army as a Specialist – Signal Support Systems from September 1990 to February 1993.

John A. Miller's education history begins in 1993 when they attended the Community College of Baltimore County and obtained an AA degree in Business, which they completed in 1995. John A. then furthered their education at Notre Dame of Maryland University from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.

In 2014, John enrolled in the National Defense University and successfully completed the iCollege Advanced Management Program, focusing on Chief Information Officer (CIO) studies. Additionally, in the same year, they pursued a Master of Science in Government Information Leadership with a concentration in Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the same institution. John A. completed this degree in 2017.

John has also obtained multiple certifications throughout their career. In 1998, they completed the "Developing Frontline Leaders" program at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. In 2014, they obtained the Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) Graduate Certificate and the Advanced Management Certificate from the U.S. Department of Defense National Defense University Information Resources Management College (NDU iCollege). Finally, in 2018, they obtained the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LEVEL III DAWIA CERTIFICATION from the Army Director for Acquisition Career Management (DACM).
