Malware Analyst at United States Cyber Command

Justin B. has a diverse work experience history. Justin started their career at Defense Media Activity as a Broadcast Engineer, where they were responsible for maintaining broadcasting links for satellite radio programs and television services.

In 2012, Justin joined the United States Air Force, where they held various roles over the years. Justin started as a Student, Radio Frequency Transmission Systems, and eventually became a Supervisor, Radio Frequency Transmission Systems. Justin's responsibilities in these roles included working with radio frequency transmission systems and overseeing their operation and maintenance.

Since 2020, Justin has been working at U.S. Cyber Command. Justin initially joined as a Senior Cyber Threat Hunter, where they used forensic artifacts to analyze Windows and Linux operating systems for potential threats. Justin also utilized the MITRE ATT&CK framework to develop threat-hunting plans. Currently, Justin serves as a Malware Analyst, where they engineer automated malware analysis tools, performs reverse engineering on malicious software samples, and authors reports on malware analysis and findings.

Justin B. has a diverse education history in the field of cybersecurity. Justin began their education in 2012 at the Community College of the Air Force, where they pursued an Associate of Applied Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Electronic Systems Technology. Justin completed this degree in 2016.

In 2021, Justin enrolled at the Community College of the Air Force again, this time to pursue an Associate of Applied Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Cybersecurity. Justin completed this degree within the same year.

Continuing their education, Justin joined Western Governors University in 2021 and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance. Justin completed this degree in 2022.

Additionally, in 2023, Justin has planned to attend the SANS Technology Institute for a Graduate Certificate in Incident Response. Later that year, they also intend to enroll at Western Governors University once again, this time to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance.

In terms of certifications, Justin has obtained numerous credentials. Notably, they earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in December 2022. Justin also holds certifications such as CompTIA CySA+ ce, CompTIA PenTest+ ce, CompTIA Security+ ce, and more. Justin'smost recent certification, obtained in June 2022, is the Memory Forensics Basics certification from Pentester Academy.
