Mike Dolbec

Mike Dolbec has a diverse work experience in both the military and cyber security fields. Mike currently holds the role of J33 Chief Current Operations at U.S. Cyber Command since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the JOC Director at U.S. Cyber Command from July 2022 to November 2022.

Before joining U.S. Cyber Command, Mike worked with the US Navy. Mike served as the Deputy Commander at Submarine Group Eight / CTF-69 from May 2020 to June 2022. From February 2017 to February 2020, they held the position of Commanding Officer on the USS TEXAS SSN-775, leading the submarine through two deployments in INDOPACOM and CENTCOM.

From June 2016 to February 2017, Mike served as the Prospective Commanding Officer on the USS TEXAS (SSN-775). Prior to that, they were the Executive Officer on the USS SAN FRANCISCO (SSN-711) from June 2013 to May 2015.

Mike also gained experience as a UK Exchange Submarine Officer - Submarine Tactics Desk at US Navy from April 2011 to April 2013. From August 2007 to March 2011, they served as the Navigator / Operation Officer on the USS ALEXANDRIA.

Mike'scareer began as a Junior Officer on the USS SEAWOLF from 2002 to 2005. Overall, Mike Dolbec has accumulated extensive leadership and operational experience in various submarine and cyber security roles.

Mike Dolbec attended the United States Army War College from 2015 to 2016, where they pursued a degree in Strategic Studies with a field of study in Military Strategic Studies, General. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School from 2005 to 2007. Mike began their educational journey by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Sciences from the Maine Maritime Academy, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
