Skyler O.

Skyler O. has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and engineering. They currently hold the position of Senior Principal Cyber Research Engineer at Palo Alto Networks since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Cyber Operator at U.S. Cyber Command starting from June 2014.

In the US Army, Skyler held various roles including Director from August 2020 to February 2022, Software Engineering Team Lead from August 2019 to August 2020, Company Commander from December 2017 to December 2018, and Mission Director from December 2016 to December 2018. They also served as a Military Intelligence Officer from February 2012 to June 2014.

Before their experience in the army, Skyler worked as a Security Engineer at LDS ICS from May 2011 to October 2011 and as a Data Engineer at MobilSense Technologies, Inc. from May 2003 to January 2006.

Skyler O. completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology from Brigham Young University - Idaho from 2008 to 2011. Later, from 2017 to 2019, Skyler attended Dakota State University Graduate School, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Skyler has also earned several certifications, including Offensive Security Certified Expert, GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN), Offensive Security Certified Professional, GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Security+.
