Hunki Yun has a diverse work experience in the golf industry. Hunki began their career as an Associate Editor at Golf Digest in 1995. Hunki then worked as a Reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, covering professional golf tours and local golf. In 2001, they became the Executive Editor of Golf Magazine, where they oversaw day-to-day operations and managed the editorial calendar. From 2005 to 2011, Hunki worked at LINKS Magazine, first as Editor and later as Editor of Linksmagazine.com. During this time, they led the publication's editorial vision and established partnerships to increase site traffic. Hunki then joined the United States Golf Association (USGA), where they held various positions, including Senior Writer, Digital Publisher & Content Manager, Director of Strategic Projects, and Director of Partnerships, Education and Outreach. In these roles, they focused on promoting the USGA's activities, improving golfer experience, and making golf more accessible through research, marketing campaigns, and educational tools.
Hunki Yun earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies from Columbia University in the years 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended Roslyn High School from 1986 to 1990.
