Terfa Hemen

Terfa Hemen is an experienced Community Engagement Officer at the United States Institute of Peace, a position held since March 2018. Prior to this role, Terfa served as a Senior Program Officer at the Centre for Democracy and Development from December 2014 to March 2018. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Conflict, Security, and Development from the Nigerian Defense Academy, completed in 2018, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ahmadu Bello University, obtained in 2004. Terfa has also received training from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre and the UN Peace Operations Training Institute in 2015.
