Brent Matthews

Brent Matthews has served at West Point since 2005. He began at USMA as a Major, teaching Spanish (LS203/204) during AY-06 and AY-07). In 2007, he was appointed as Director of the International Academic Affairs Office, and retired from active service later that year. He was selected as Associate Dean for International Intellectual Development in 2016. Mr. Matthews oversees the institution's Study Abroad and Academic Internship Programs, monitors 4-Year International Cadets, and provide administrative oversight to the institution's Graduate Scholarship Programs. He was born in Wales, and raised in Southern California.
