Renee T. has extensive experience in safeguarding and social work. Renee is currently serving as the VP of Safeguarding Prevention & Education at the U.S. Soccer Federation. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Safeguarding Panel Advisor at England Netball and as the Senior Director of Safeguarding at the United Soccer League. Renee also held various roles at The Football Association, including Safeguarding Quality Assurance Manager and Safeguarding Team Leader. Before joining the sports industry, they worked as a Consultant Social Worker at Hertfordshire County Council and as a Practice Mentor at Bedford Borough Council. Renee's earlier experience includes roles as a Practice Manager at Northamptonshire County Council and Southwark Council. Renee began their career as a Social Worker at the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare.

Renee T. completed the Bristol International Credit Earning Program (BICEP) in the School for Policy Studies at the University of Bristol in 2000. Renee then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After that, they earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In terms of certifications, Renee T. obtained the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence from NEBOSH in 2019. Renee also became a Registered Social Worker with Social Work England in May 2018. Additionally, they completed the Adult Mental Health First Aid training and Safe Sport training in 2022.
