Riley Maloney is an experienced educator and referee, currently serving as a Substitute Teacher for Seattle Public Schools since March 2025. In addition to this role, Riley has been an Advanced Referee for the U.S. Soccer Federation since August 2015, overseeing competitive youth and adult semi-pro matches while implementing de-escalation tactics effectively. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Bringing Equitable Access to Digital Logic & Engineering (BEADLE) project at The Remote Hub Lab, and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Physics Department at the University of Washington, where support for students' academic success was a priority. Riley also worked as a Tutor for College Nannies + Sitters of Seattle, providing assistance to high school students during online learning challenges. Riley holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing a Master in Teaching degree, focusing on Secondary Science Education.
