Alexander Mikryukov

Scientist - Tissue Systems, Cell Production & R&d (lung Organ Manufacturing Group) at United Therapeutics

Alexander Mikryukov is a scientist with extensive experience in tissue systems, cell production, and research and development. Currently employed at United Therapeutics Corporation, Alexander focuses on the Lung Organ Manufacturing Group since October 2023. Previously, Alexander served as Scientist II in Process Development at BlueRock Therapeutics, where responsibilities included the development and optimization of iPSC manufacturing processes for cellular products. Prior to that, a significant tenure at University Health Network included roles as a Scientific Associate and Post-doctoral fellow, where work included establishing scalable protocols for hPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and endocardial cells, notably publishing findings in Cell Stem Cell. Alexander earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a focus on Developmental Biology from Université Laval and holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biophysics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
