Ian Nicholson

Ian Nicholson has over two decades of experience in the water industry, currently serving as the Head of Asset Lifecycle & Systems at United Utilities since June 2009. Previous roles at United Utilities include Head of Asset Systems & Planning, Wholesale Business Lead, Area Engineering Manager, Sludge and Carbon Development Manager, and Design Manager. Prior to United Utilities, Ian Nicholson worked at Scottish Water Solutions as a Commissioning Liaison Engineer and at Thames Water, where positions included Area Network Manager and Senior Commercial Consultant. Ian Nicholson holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, completed in 2002.
