Phillip Ryding has a diverse work experience starting in 2005 as a Finance Assistant with NHS Primary Care Trust. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Credit Controller at Core Utility Solutions. In 2009, they joined Scottish Power as an Assistant Financial Accountant until 2011. From 2008 to 2011, they also worked as an Assistant Financial Accountant and Assistant Management Accountant at SP Network Connections Limited. In 2011, Phillip joined United Utilities as a Financial Analyst and later progressed to the role of Senior Financial Analyst from 2012 to 2014. From September 2014, they became the Lead Management Accountant at United Utilities, leading the sales reporting team and overseeing the provision of management accounting services to the Domestic Retail division.
