Brooke Freeland

Early Education Policy Consultant at United Way for Greater Austin

Brooke Freeland serves as an Early Education Policy Consultant for the United Way for Greater Austin since June 2019, previously held the position of Managing Director at the Couch Family Foundation, focused on enhancing quality opportunities for children and families since July 2010. Brooke was a member of the New England Advisory Committee at Let's Get Ready from December 2013 to December 2015 and completed a fellowship with the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits in early 2014. Previous experience includes serving as Communications Director at Strategies For Children from June 2007 to June 2009 and Legislative Director for Senator Robert O'Leary from September 2002 to July 2005. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Colgate University and a Master of Public Administration in Non-profit Management from New York University, along with ongoing participation in Leadership Austin’s Cohort 45 program.
