Angel Oquendo has extensive experience in management and operational roles across various industries. Currently serving as a Loan Campaign Specialist at the United Way of Berks County since August 2022, Oquendo has also held a Continuous Improvement Specialist position at Reading Truck Group since September 2017, where previous responsibilities included acting as Team Leader. Prior to that, Oquendo gained experience as an Extrusion Operator and Material Handler at East Penn Manufacturing Co. from August 2013 to May 2016. As a Business Owner at Golf Range from April 2012 to February 2014, Oquendo managed operations, professional lessons, and sales services. Earlier career highlights include managing multiple locations for Midas International, where profit margins were increased, and serving as General Manager for CPL Group Rent King and Buddy's Home Furnishings, focusing on profit growth and staff management. Oquendo’s career began at Rent-A-Center, rapidly ascending through roles from Account Manager to General Manager. Oquendo holds a degree in certified accounting from Great Plains Technology Center.

By working with our 33 agency partners, nonprofits and trained volunteers we invest in strategies to create community change. By managing initiatives like 2-1-1 we connect people with community resources through a free, 24/7 Information & Referral service. We lead the community initiative Ready.Set.READ! to focus on early grade reading proficiency, and ultimately help kids achieve academic success and shape our community’s future.
