United Way of Dane County
Sandy Liang has a strong background in strategic collaborations and community outreach. Sandy has worked as the Director of Strategic Collaborations at United Way of Dane County since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Human Development & Relationships Institute Outreach Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2013 to 2022. In this role, they focused on research-based programming, teaching workshops, and utilizing data and evaluations to drive future work. Sandy also worked as a Healthy Lifestyles Program Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin - Superior/AmeriCorps*VISTA, where they developed partnerships and promoted healthy lifestyles in low-income families. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Family Policy Intern and Research Assistant at Purdue University, where they organized family impact seminars, conducted research, and obtained grant funding for early childhood projects. Sandy also has experience as a Summer Research Scholar at Michigan State University and as a Lifespan Developmental Psychology Research Intern at the National Science Foundation.
Sandy Liang holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Denison University and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University.
