Amy Ahrens Terpstra has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. Amy served as the Chief Impact Officer at United Way of Salt Lake since January 2022, where they are responsible for driving social impact. Prior to this role, Amy held the position of Vice President, Collective Impact Partnerships at the same organization starting in December 2018. Amy also served as the Senior Partnership Director at United Way of Salt Lake from October 2016.
Earlier in their career, Amy worked at the Social IMPACT Research Center at Heartland Alliance, where they held the position of Director from June 2005 to September 2016. In this role, they conducted research and led initiatives focused on social impact.

Amy Ahrens Terpstra obtained a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Trinity Christian College, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Amy later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, studying there from 2004 to 2006.
