Jennifer Bruen

Jennifer Bruen is an experienced leader in community impact and development, currently serving as the Executive Director at United Way since September 2021, after holding various roles including Interim Director and Associate Director. Previously, Jennifer worked at Michigan State University for nearly a decade, contributing as Assistant Director and Project Manager, where projects focused on STEM and health training for women and girls in Tanzania, as well as managing initiatives through the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration. Additional experience includes roles at Vail Resorts, University of Michigan, and REI, alongside owning a business in landscaping. Jennifer holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Michigan University, and is actively engaged in leadership development programs.
