Kayla Merritt

Kayla Merritt, MA, LPC, currently serves as the Executive Director of Uniting Hope for Children Inc, a position held since October 2020. Prior to this, Kayla was the Family Support Counselor/Director at Uniting Hope 4 Children from January 2018 to October 2020. Previous experience includes roles such as Client Services Coordinator at Newton Pregnancy Resource Center and Clinical Counselor Intern at both Good Samaritan Health Center Atlanta and Hope Counseling Center in 2016. Kayla also worked at Empowered Living Academy as an Apprenticeship Coordinator and Personal Development and Independent Living Coach from September 2014 to July 2016, where responsibilities included curriculum development and participant engagement. Early professional experience includes serving as an Empowered Living Coach at Wellspring Living and a Sales Associate at Anthropologie. Kayla holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University and a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry from Toccoa Falls College.
