John Goodwin has a diverse work experience in the music industry. John started their career as a Rehearsal Pianist at the Chicago Symphony Chorus in 1998. In 2001, they joined Uniting Voices Chicago as a Principal Pianist/Resident Conductor. At the same time, they also worked as a Choral Pianist at Roosevelt University until 2023. In 2003, they became the Chorus Master at the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra until 2012. Moreover, they served as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Music at Northwestern University from 1991 to 2002. Additionally, they worked as a Collaborative Artist at Ravinia Festival's Steans Institute for Young Artists Vocal Program from 1994 to 1999.
