Matthew Ottaway

Matthew Ottaway has extensive work experience in various senior leadership roles in the chemical and healthcare industries. Matthew started their career in 1997 as a Senior Medical Sales Representative at Bayer HealthCare. Matthew then worked at ISP as a Sales Director for Northern Europe from 1999 to 2006. Following that, they took on the role of Sales & Marketing Director at Eurofins. In 2007, they joined Univar as the Supplier Director for Personal Care in EMEA and held that position until 2011. From 2011 to 2014, Ottaway worked at Avery Dennison as the Sales Operations Director for EMEA. Matthew then moved on to Blagden Speciality Chemicals as the Commercial General Manager for a brief period before rejoining Univar in 2014. At Univar Solutions, they have held various roles including Personal Care Industry Director for EMEA, Vice President of Focus Industries for EMEA, Senior Vice President of Global Beauty Care and Nutrition, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Consumer Solutions with global P&L responsibilities.

Matthew Ottaway received their education from a variety of institutions. Matthew completed their PhD in Organic Chemistry from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc (Hons) 2i in Applied Chemistry from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1987 to 1991. Matthew completed A Levels at Harrogate Grammar School from 1982 to 1984, and O Levels at Ashville College from 1980 to 1982.
