Universal Audio (UA) is seeking a passionate, creative, and self-motivated individual to join our marketing team as a video producer to help tell inspiring stories about our brand.

The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller with an ear for technical dialog and a solid sense of humor that brings narratives to life in a compelling way. Key to this role will be an enthusiasm for cross-team collaboration and complete candor with your peers, leveraging feedback, critique, and open communication to create the best output possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Create branded video content that delights, inspires, and educates our audience,
  • Understand all technical aspects of a video production set– including set dressing, lighting, video/audio capture, editing, live streaming, color correction, visual effects, etc.
  • Edit multi-cam performances & interviews, social videos, tutorials, and promo reels while maintaining an organized & streamlined media storage system.
  • Consult with stakeholders from pre-production through post-production and work within tight project deadlines, regularly socializing work in progress for feedback.
  • Develop raw ideas into actionable shoot plans communicated through project briefs, mood boards, storyboards, and scripts.
  • Thoroughly understand the video & content marketing lifecycle – from concept to pitch; pre-production through publishing.
  • Capture, edit, and finalize studio-quality video content at both on and off-site locations.
  • Use computer editing software programs, video switching devices, digital video effects programs, and other tools to piece together film components.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a video editor and videographer.
  • Extensive experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, and Final Cut).
  • Ability to light scenes, select lenses, operate cameras, capture audio, etc.
  • An intuitive sense of timing, motivation, and continuity.
  • Familiarity with VFX, color correction, and compositing.
  • Impeccable sense of storytelling, quality, and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to develop and execute content briefs, holding regular review & iteration cycles throughout the production pipeline.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in audio, media, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced agency or marketing environment.
  • Knowledge of the music tech industry is a plus.

UA Salary Range/Hourly Rate of Pay:  California Salary Range = $69K - $89K

Base salary/hourly rate of pay will be based on the cost of labor for the city/state in which the new hire resides, at the time of hire.
