Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons has over 20 years of work experience in the information security field. Ben is currently the Director of Infrastructure and Security at Universal Background Screening, a role they have held since July 2019. Before that, they worked as the Manager of Information Security at Gateway First Bank from May 2019 to July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of Information Security at Gateway Mortgage Group, LLC for three years. Ben has also held positions such as Senior Security Consultant at Optiv Inc, Security Consultant at FishNet Security, and Security Engineer at HireRight. Ben'searliest work experience in the field was as a System Administrator at USIS, where they later became an IT Supervisor.

Ben Simmons has a diverse and well-rounded education history. Ben began their educational journey in 1996 at Tulsa Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in CIS: Programming and CIS: Networking. Ben successfully completed this program in the year 2000.

After completing their associate degree, Simmons continued their education at Tulsa Community College until 2002, where they pursued an Associate degree in Arts. Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they attended Tulsa Community College.

Simmons then made the decision to further their education and enrolled in Northeastern State University. Ben studied Business Administration from 2002 to 2008 and successfully earned their Bachelor's degree in this field.

In addition to their formal education, Simmons has obtained several certifications. In 2012 and 2013, they obtained the Qualified Security Assessor Program (QSA) and Payment Application - Qualified Security Assessor Program (PA-QSA) certifications from the PCI Council. Furthermore, in 2013, they also obtained the PCI Professional (PCIP) certification. These certifications demonstrate their expertise and knowledge in the field of security assessment and payment applications.
