Marina Manrique has 11 years of experience in bioinformatics, beginning in 2007 when they worked as a Bioinformatician - NGS Specialist for an industry. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Freelance Bioinformatician, providing services to clients from academia and industry with a strong background in human and bacterial genomics and metagenomics. Since 2021, they have been employed as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Universal Diagnostics SL.
Marina Manrique obtained their BSc in Biology from Universidad de Granada in 2006, followed by an MSc in Biochemistry from the same university in 2009. Marina then went on to obtain an MSc in Mathematical Biology from Universidad de Granada in 2009. Prior to this, they attended La Salle Almería from 1989 to 2002.
