Fenil Desai

Fenil Desai, Ph.D., has a diverse range of work experience in the field of mechanical engineering and alternative energy. Fenil is currently working at Universal Hydrogen as a Principal Engineer- Hydrogen Systems. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Hydrogen Systems Engineer at the same company. Fenil also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wichita State University, where they worked on their Ph.D. thesis on hydrogen storage and conducted energy modeling and material characterization using various techniques. Fenil also worked as an Independent Instructor and Lab Instructor, teaching courses and managing teaching assistants. Fenil gained experience as a Student Energy Efficiency Engineer at the Industrial Assessment Center and as a Visiting Junior Research Fellow at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Fenil has also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Nautilus Engineering, LLC, and as a Project Engineer at Citnalta-Forte Joint Venture. Additionally, Fenil founded MECAD Energy Enterprise, where they developed the company's business strategy and executed it to achieve sustainable growth in alternative energy solutions. Fenil also worked as an Assistant Professor at S. N. Patel Institute of Technology & Research Centre, where they taught various mechanical engineering courses, conducted research, and coordinated subjects. Fenil Desai, Ph.D., holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Hydrogen Storage from Wichita State University. Prior to that, Desai obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Energy Engineering, from Gujarat Technological University (GTU). Desai also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. Desai completed high school education in Science at B.A.B.S. High School in Bardoli, India.
