Mario Castillo Oyarzún

Mario Castillo Oyarzún is the current Director of the Department of Architecture & Design at Universidad de Los Lagos. Previously, they worked as an Assistant Coordinator for the Master in Urban and Regional Planning program at Universidad Diego Portales from January 2009 to December 2010. From September 2004 to February 2011, they worked as a researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Mario has also worked as a professor on architectural design at Universidad de Los Lagos from January 2001 to December 2008. In addition, Mario has worked as an architect for Abalos+Sentkiewicz architects from January 2008 to December 2009 and for Abalos & Herreros architects from January 2007 to December 2008. Mario is currently a partner at taller 51.

Mario Castillo Oyarzún has a Ph.D in Periphery, Sustainability and Urban Vitality from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Universidad de Chile, and is an architect from the Universidad de Los Lagos.
