Zoila Yadira Guerra de Castillo is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of Industrial Engineering, currently serving as a Professor and Research Leader at CIILCA at Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá since August 1978. With extensive experience in research coordination, particularly with the I+D Iberoamerican CYTED Network-CECIAC, Zoila focuses on building and evaluating innovative capabilities within academic institutions. Additionally, Zoila has held the position of Director of Knowledge Transfer, emphasizing technology transfer and commercialization. Previous roles include Project Manager at the Ministry of Education in Panama, overseeing logistics for the PISA test, and serving as a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Zoila's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá.
