Ramon Canal

Ramon Canal is a Professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a researcher at Barcelona Supercomputing Center, with a focus on memory hierarchies for future mobile devices. Previously, Ramon held the position of Associate Professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where responsibilities included teaching graduate courses in Processor Design and Nanotechnology Circuit Design as well as VLSI, and coordinating master's programs as the Associate Dean of Postgraduate Studies at the Barcelona School of Informatics. Additional experiences include a Visiting Professor role at the University of Cyprus, a Visiting Scholar position at Harvard University concentrating on the reliability of DRAM memories, and a Senior Engineer role at Sun Microsystems addressing future system memory design. Ramon holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and multiple master’s degrees in related fields.
