Robert E. Steinert

Robert E. Steinert is a highly experienced Principal Scientist at dsm-firmenich since December 2022 and a Privatdozent at the University of Zurich since April 2023. In addition, Robert holds the position of Senior Research Fellow at Universitätsspital Zürich since January 2017. Previously, Robert contributed to DSM in various roles from May 2014 to December 2022, including Global Scientific Lead Biocare Copenhagen and EMEA Principal Scientist. Robert's academic journey includes being a Mary Overton Early Career Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide from May 2012 to May 2014 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Universität Basel from November 2010 to April 2012. Robert earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Gastrointestinal Physiology and Nutrition from ETH Zürich, alongside a Habilitation focused on Obesity & Bariatric Surgery at the University of Zurich. Education also includes a Socrates Erasmus Student program in Human Biology at The University of Manchester and a Diplom in Nutrition Sciences from Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
