Wei Shi

Wei Shi is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Silicon Photonics at Université Laval since August 2013, focusing on the advancement of micro- and nano-photonic devices and optical systems integration using microelectronics fabrication technologies. Wei Shi co-founded EHVA Inc. from March 2019 to October 2022, providing automation solutions and test services for integrated photonics research and production. Wei Shi was previously an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University in early 2013, specializing in integrated photonic devices for optical communications. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Photonics from The University of British Columbia, a Master of Engineering in Physical Electronics from Shenzhen University, and a Bachelor of Science in Optoelectronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
