Vandana Singh

Vandana Singh currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs and New Programs at the College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies, starting in September 2024. Vandana has extensive experience at the University of Tennessee since August 2008, holding positions as Program Director, Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the UT College of Communication & Information from July 2022 to July 2023. Previous roles include Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas. Vandana began a research career as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Academically, Vandana holds a PhD in Information Science/Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and a Master's in Knowledge Management from Wageningen University & Research. Recently, Vandana participated in the Women in Leadership: Online Program for Emerging Leaders through the Harvard Division of Continuing Education in October 2023.
