Alice K. DuVivier is an experienced Project Scientist II at NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research since December 2019 and has also held the position of Project Scientist I. Concurrently, Alice serves as an Associate Scientist II at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research since July 2016. Throughout a diverse career, Alice has contributed significantly to understanding winter mixing and enhancing vertical mixing models in the Southern Ocean within the Community Earth System Model. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Professional Research Assistant, where Alice developed the atmospheric component of the Regional Arctic System Model and utilized high-performance computing for data analysis. Educationally, Alice holds a PhD and an M.A. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.A. in Physics and Renaissance Studies from Colorado College.
