Karleen Kemp Ed.d.

Karleen Kemp, Ed.D., currently serves as Vice Principal at University Heights Charter School since August 2021. With a diverse professional background, Karleen has been a PK-12 edTPA Educator Scorer for Pearson since January 2017 and is the Founder of Curriculum Design Leadership, focusing on curriculum, student affairs, and industry trends. As the Owner of Becreated since January 2003, Karleen manages a creative team providing design services while mentoring community youth in visual arts. Previous roles include serving as K-12 Alternative and Career Center Program School Principal at Somerset County Educational Services Commission, Vice Principal at Newark Public Schools, and Professor at Kean University. Karleen holds an Ed.D. in Urban Educational Leadership from Kean University and multiple advanced degrees in educational administration and graphic communications.
