James Brown M.D., Facep

James Brown, MD, FACEP has extensive work experience in the medical field. James is currently working as the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at the University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) since August 2016. Prior to that, they held various roles at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, including Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine from June 2009 onwards, Billing Compliance Officer from September 2007 to May 2009, and Assistant Professor from July 1998 to August 2007. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Programmer/Analyst II at Furrs, Inc from May 1987 to July 1990.

James Brown, MD, FACEP completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the University of North Texas between 1975 and 1983. James later pursued their medical education and earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - School of Medicine, graduating between 1990 and 1994.
