Soumya Palliyil

Soumya Palliyil currently serves as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Brigid Bio since August 2023. With a career spanning over a decade at the University of Aberdeen, Soumya holds the positions of Head of the Scottish Biologics Facility and SULSA Fellow, focusing on biologic drug discovery services for academia and industry. This Facility specializes in generating antibody fragments and peptides, monoclonal antibody expression, custom antibody libraries, and optimizing biochemical and cell-based assays. Additionally, Soumya participated as a delegate in the Biopioneer Bootcamp and previously worked as a KTP Associate at Haptogen Ltd., Wyeth Research, and Pfizer Inc. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medical Sciences and an MSc in Medical Molecular Genetics/Antibody Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, as well as a BSc in Microbiology from R.V.S College, Bharathiar University, India.
