Michael Gathara

Michael Gathara is a skilled professional with experience in software development, research, and teaching. As a Research Assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since September 2022, Michael focuses on high-performance automated reasoning and programming, contributing to the development of compilers, interpreters, and static analysis programs. In a teaching capacity, Michael has served as a Teaching Assistant for various computer science courses covering programming paradigms, systems programming, and algorithms. Michael's internship experience includes a Software Engineer Intern position at Apple, working on GPU software platforms, and a role as an Intelligence Analyst and Software Developer at DarkTower, where responsibilities included responding to cyber threats and software development.
