Tara Ferguson

Tara Ferguson, PHR, serves as the Director of Employee Relations at the University of Alaska since April 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing employee relations across the university, ensuring consistent policy application, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Previously, Tara held the position of Director of Labor and Employee Relations, managing compliance and leading negotiations for eight union contracts. Earlier experience at the University of Alaska from 2007 to 2019 includes serving as the Director of Talent Acquisition, focusing on compensation, recruitment, and talent management, and as a Senior Human Resources Analyst, where data research and policy development were primary tasks. Tara holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
